Wishing to Return

I raise my eyes towards You,

Pray I find my way,

Still - You can take it away,

Hoping You find the grace that I gave.

Offer all I have to serve You,

Invoke in me the power to heal,

Sacrifice my seductive habits,

Ask to lavish me with beauty of winds,

Giving all to You; please don't ignore me.

Burning - offering my days to light,

Fearing - offering my nights to pain,

Fearing the burn, burning in fear,

Yet, through this pain the light will come in.

The work to be burned is never complete,

Again and again, you bring me to tears,

The awe of a dream envisioned by lightning,

Even Your clouds can no longer hide me.

Bring me back to where and when it all began,

My heart was broken - so,

With every break, the strength will come,

With every crack, the spark will glow.

With every fall, my shine will show,

just one more - wish.

Please, G-d, return me,

Please unite me with my peace.
